Future Missionary

D has this good friend C. They've been at the same pre-school since we moved here, go to the same school, etc. They play together a lot.

D invited C to go to our ward egg hunt, so her mom called me tonight, and shared this conversation she had w/ C the other day.

C: Mom, is Satan real?

C's Mom: Well, yes, he is.

C: Darn it! D was right!

C's Mom: Oh, what is did D say?

C: She said that Satan whispers things in your ear and tries to get you to do bad things. And that God whispers in your other ear to do good things.

C's Mom: Yes, that's right! Who are you going to listen to?

C: I'm going to listen to God!

The next day:

C: Mom, Satan's whispering to me right now, but I'm not going to listen to him.

C's Mom: Oh, what's he telling you?

C: He's telling me to tell you no if you tell me I need a nap later. But I'm going to listen to you and God.

Mom: That's great C!

C: I bet Satan is saying "RATS!"

How cute is that? Her mom said that she thought it was great that D was comfortable enough in her faith to share it with her friends, and to do it on her level. Love it! And yes, I bet Satan IS saying "RATS!"
