Along with being 8 and baptized comes another fun mile stone. Cub Scouts. This little boy was SO very excited to go on his first night. Thanks to G&G J for all his scouting stuff for his birthday, too. He HAS to wear it every week, and he's looking forward to earning badges for his uniform.
And after 2 years of being in nursery - I was finally released. And called to Scouts! I am our Cub Scout Committee Chair. I went to my first meeting last night, and have a big training on Saturday. I am so very, VERY excited for this opportunity!! Plus, I'm not in charge of weekly meetings. I get to organize the big events, keep track of records and plan - and DELEGATE! :D Yup, right up my alley! I have never felt this much excitement before.
Oh, and did you know the Scouting Centennial is coming up? What a FUN time to get started in the program!! So, if you're searching for something for my birthday in 11 days. There's the wish list on the side, or get me some scouting stuff. I want a uniform too!!!

Wow! I only have just over a year until my son starts--man are we getting old!!
Dylans counting down until hes in scouts. He actually goes to an orientation this saturday. Congrats on your new calling! You will do great there. ANd how nice to get to go to relief society on sunday. Be ready to introduce yourself again! ;)
You know, Granny was my Den Mother and I have many very nice memories of Cub Scouts. We did all our projects on our back patio in Highland. Granny would have loved to see this new Scout. I believe she is watching and is very proud.
