Here's a Christmas update.
The great stocking dump! Mindy actually snagged a candy from D that we had to wrestle away from her!
Santa brought M the Lego Agents 3 that he has been wanting for MONTHS!
D got a great Horse book and art kit from her Nebraska cousins - she loved it!
Rob got a new movie and a fancy 16gig flash drive in his stocking. And candy. Mindy wanted more.
Oh, yeah - and some of the record snowfall that we had. This was the most snowfall on the ground on Christmas day in HISTORY! Yikes. It has also delayed our family gathering with Rob's family. Or, it extended the holidays for us.
Then the kids and I flew to California the day afterwards. The kids were looking forward to spending time with my folks while I attended a week-long residential class for my PhD. We had fun catching up, and of course, the kids loved another day of opening presents.
M and Grandpa!

Grandma J.

D helping great-grandma opening her present. (The box was taped tight and was tricky!)

Then, on the 27th we had the extended gathering with my mom's family. HOLY COW! It was crowded! This is just a *small* portion of who was there. We did have a big picture taken, so as soon as I get a copy I'll post that.

D heard that there was going to be lots of girls there and set up a craft area for them. She had it ALL layed out with the stuff they needed and a piece of paper with their names on it so they knew where their spot was. She was in heaven!

My one cousin has twin 1yo boys. Aren't they adorable?? Unfortunately I had to run down to my class to check in and I didn't get to stay long to visit. :(

Since I was in Anaheim, I was near some friends from my master's program and Melanie and I went to dinner. We talked and laughed so much we forgot to take pictures until the VERY end. I think we spent a good 20 minutes just trying to get a self-portrait of us that we both looked good. That caused a lot more laughs. Ahhh, good times. Come visit me Mel!

Yup, I went to school on both New Year's Eve on New Years Day. The school hosted a party for us with dancing. Here's a few of the great gals that I met that week.

Nicole (AZ), Nani (HI), Darlene (FL), Me & Leslie (UT)

Darlene and Nicole really kicked it up on the dance floor!

This was my cohort group. We met each morning before classes. This was during the last big meeting where we did our poster presentation. In a couple more times this is where I will be presenting my dissertation idea for faculty and student feedback. YEAH!
